PEN HOLDER
As detailed in our Conclusions page, we had a lot of difficulty with our pen holder. The following gallery walks through the different steps of making each iteration of the pen holder.
Our original idea of floral foam was very workable; a ruler cut the foam into sizes acceptable for the marker.
To insert the Sharpie into the foam pen holder, all we had to do was quite literally just shove it in.
Sawyer's grippers slide snugly into the pen holder, so long as the rubber pads are removed. The notches perform their intended job of keeping the pen steady. Two trips to Fremont (because none of us have machine shop access) later, and Drawyer is happy and ready to draw.

This project was put together by three sophomores at UC Berkeley who spent their freshman year together in Foothill. They spend their free time drinking boba and poking each other anyway, so this project was a good chance to do something more productive together. But as friends would, they had a lot of fun with it. Here are some unnecessary but fun photos from the process.
